Week 1/24 - 1/28
Hello and hope you all had a great weekend!
First of all, let us all keep Mrs. Alexander in our prayers as she deals with the loss of her dear husband. "Eternal Rest grant upon the soul of Mr. Alexander. May the soul of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace." Amen.
This week, I will be subbing in for Mrs. Alexander in the morning. Please work with me as I adjust to the new classes and schedule.
For 6th graders, start considering an orange shirt you will buy and wear at the Pep Rally next week. You will be using this shirt throughout the rest of the year to show our unity and class spirit.
Homework will be given during class times so PLEASE remember to write it down each day. Parents, please call me if you need any clarification.
Also, just a reminder, this SUNDAY is FAMILY MASS as well as OPEN HOUSE! Please be present at the Mass as well as bring your family members over to the 6th grade room for a visit! Hope to see you all there!

Welcome Back!
Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and New Year! I know I enjoyed my time off! We have a lot of things going on for January, probably the most exciting of it all is Catholic Schools Week starting January 31st-February 4th. Get ready for some fun!
Other than that, we will be starting new units in Science. 6th grade will be learning about Earthquakes, Volcanoes, & Plate Tectonics. 7th grade will be learning about Genetics & the Punnett Square. We will continue to delve deeper into our religion book and learn about David, King Solomon, and what it means to be a good leader. I will be looking for students who demonstrate leadership abilities this month and a reward will come to them at the end of the month.
Let's have a good rest of the 2nd quarter!
